The train journey, different coaches, and one last phone call – “I’m going to the washroom.” This was the last thing that Additional District Judge Rajkumar Chauhan heard from his wife Usha Chauhan. When he reached Nimbahera station, the judge got down but his wife did not. Waited, called, no answer. And when the door of the washroom of the train was broken, the scene that emerged shocked everyone. Usha Chauhan was lying unconscious in the washroom. Doctors told that he had a silent attack.
Were going from Jodhpur to Nimbahera, were traveling in different coaches
Additional District Judge Rajkumar Chauhan and his wife Usha Chauhan were going from Jodhpur to Nimbahera by train number 17606 Kanchiguda-Bhagat ki Kothi Express. Rajkumar Chauhan is posted in Nimbahera. Both husband and wife were traveling in separate coaches. Shortly before reaching Nimbahera station, Usha Chauhan called her husband and told him that she was going to the washroom.
Wife did not get down at Nimbahera, judge informed railway police
Judge Rajkumar Chauhan got down at Nimbahera station but his wife did not. After a long wait, when no contact could be made, he immediately informed the Railway Police. Police stopped the train at Mandsaur and tried to open the washroom door but could not break the door there.
Dead body found when door was broken in Javra
After this, when the police broke the door of the washroom in Javra section of Ratlam district, Usha Chauhan’s body was found lying inside. He was immediately taken to the hospital where doctors told that he had a silent attack and died in the washroom itself. After this the family took the dead body and left for their native village.
