Ravi Shastri on Shubman Gill Captaincy: Shubman Gill’s Test Captain Safar has started with a defeat. Ravi Shastri said that Shubman Gill should get three years to prove himself as a captain. What happens in the series should not change on that basis. Shastri believes that team management should give full support to Gill for 3 years and he feels that Gill will live up to everyone’s expectations.

The Indian team may have lost the first Test against England, but captain Gill has brought improvement in his personal performance. As a captain, he played a strong innings of 147 runs under pressure in his first Test innings. At the same time, KL Rahul was seen setting the fielding on the fifth day in the Leeds Test, which shows that Gill is learning a lot from the team’s senior players.
