All -rounder Ravindra Jadeja became the new player to fail in the Bat Size Test in the match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. Jadeja also had a debate with the umpire after this, but in the last he had to get a second bat.
Jadeja came to bat at number four for CSK. After which the umpire reached him to check the size of Jadeja’s bat. Jadeja’s bat failed in the test. After this, Jadeja beat the bat on the ground in a funny manner.
Jadeja did this because he felt that perhaps after that he would pass the bat test, but it did not happen. After this, the umpire asked him to change the bat. Jadeja gestured in the dressing room and ordered a second bat.
According to the report of India Today, after this, his bat was once again tested. After which his new bat passed in the test. Jadeja was dismissed for Chennai with 21 runs in 17 balls. Jadeja is not the first batsman to fail in the bat size test.

Prior to Jadeja, Sunil Naren of Kolkata Knight Riders and Enark Narkhiya have also failed in the bat size test. The BCCI has brought this new rule so that the balance between the bat and the ball remains. According to the rule, the width of the bat should not exceed 10.79, thickness 6.7 and length 96.4 cm.

Please tell that earlier the players used to have a bat size test. But earlier it used to be in the dressing room. At the same time, the BCCI decided to get a test done in the field itself. Home shaped bat gauge is used for checking the bat. It is a kind of ring. From which the bat has to pass. If this does not happen, that bat is rejected.
