Pbks vs rcb Qualifier 1: The first qualifier match of IPL 2025 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings today. Punjab finished the top in the points table, while Bengaluru finished second. RCB has never reached the final after 2016 and has never won the title. Bangalore has a chance to end his 17 years of title drought, but there is a rule that can break the dream of RCB and his fans again.

RCB’s dream will break!

Punjab Kings are also moving towards creating history, which has reached the playoffs for the first time since 2014. On the other hand, Bengaluru also wants to win the title for the first time. If the Punjab-Bengaluru match is canceled due to rain or any other reason, then the difficulties of Royal Challengers Bangalore will increase.

The IPL rule says that if the first qualifier match is canceled, the Punjab will qualify for the Kings final due to the better points/net run rate in the table. Both RCB and Punjab had 19–19 points, but Punjab (+0.372) was better than Bengaluru (+0.301) in terms of net run rate.

In such a situation, the dream of becoming the champion of Royal Challengers Bangalore will start hovering, but the hope of his final will not end completely. If the qualifier match is canceled, Punjab will reach the final directly. On the other hand, RCB will get the second chance to go to the finals due to the points table staying in the top-2. In the event of losing against Punjab, he will face the winning team in the eliminator match, whose winner will go to the final.

Both Punjab and Bengaluru are running in excellent rhythms. RCB has got only one defeat in the last 7 matches, on the other hand, Punjab Kings have also got only one defeat in the last 6 matches.
