RCB got a 440 volt shock, these 2 Australian legends withdrew their names, bad news for Delhi Capitals too

Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has withdrawn her name from WPL 2026. Along with him, Annabel Sutherland has also decided not to play in the next season of the Women’s Premier League. Both of them have withdrawn their names from the next season of the Women’s Premier League citing personal reasons.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have included Sayali Satghare in their squad in place of Ellyse Perry. Satghare will get a salary of Rs 30 lakh from RCB, which was his base price in the auction. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals has announced Australian leg-spinner Elena King as the replacement for Annabel Sutherland. Elena King will get Rs 60 lakh for playing in WPL 2026.

The exclusion of Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland is a big blow for RCB and Delhi Capitals. Because both are counted among the top all-rounder players in the world. Ellyse Perry is the highest run scorer for RCB in WPL history. So far, she has scored 972 runs in her Women’s Premier League career at an average of 64.80. He has also taken 14 wickets in bowling for RCB. He had made a huge contribution in making RCB the WPL champion in 2024.

Talking about Annabel Sutherland, she took 9 wickets for Delhi Capitals last season. In the current era, he is seen as a rising star especially in white ball cricket.

UP team also changed

There has also been a big change in the squad of UP Warriors. The team’s left-arm fast bowler Tata Norris was selected in the USA team for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. Australian all-rounder Charlie Knott has come in his place in the UP team. The World Cup Qualifier will be played in Nepal from 18 January to 1 February.
