RCB makes a strong comeback after a bad start

RCB had a fast start after winning the toss and coming to bat first. The team showed aggressive style in the first over itself, but after this the Gujarat bowlers made a comeback and took wickets continuously. At one time, RCB had lost four important wickets for just 43 runs, due to which the team seemed under pressure.

Partnership of Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh

In the middle order, Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh handled the innings and put pressure on the Gujarat bowlers. The century partnership between the two changed the direction of the match. Richa Ghosh (44 runs off 28 balls) made an important contribution by scoring runs at a fast pace, while Radha Yadav (66 runs off 47 balls) played responsibly and scored a brilliant half-century. With the help of Nadine de Klerk’s useful runs in the lower order, RCB scored a strong score of 182 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Gujarat’s faltering innings while chasing the target

Chasing the target of 183 runs, Gujarat Giants team looked fine in the beginning, but soon the process of falling wickets started. Captain Beth Mooney tried to give the team a fast start by scoring 27 runs, but the process of falling wickets soon started. The team lost three of its batsmen within 46 runs.

Gujarat’s innings continued to falter in the middle order also. After the dismissal of Kanika Ahuja, the wicket of Georgia Wareham fell in the 11th over and the score was reduced to 70 runs for five wickets. After this, Bharti Phoolmali along with Kashvi Gautam tried to control the innings. Bharti played a fighting inning of 39 runs and scored the most runs for the team, while Kashvi contributed 18 runs.

However, in the 17th over, Lauren Bell broke Gujarat’s last hope by sending Bharti to the pavilion. After this, wickets kept falling continuously and the team could not recover from the pressure. Tanuja Kanwar definitely showed some struggle by scoring 21 runs, but she too could not survive.

Shreyanka Patil’s Paw

The team of Gujarat Giants, which came to chase the target, completely disintegrated in front of the disciplined and aggressive bowling of RCB. In this match, Shreyanka Patil gave such a performance which completely changed the course of the match. He took 5 wickets for 23 runs in just 3.5 overs and had the best spell of this season so far.

Shreyanka got excellent support from England’s fast bowler Lauren Bell. Bell took three important wickets for 29 runs in his four over spell, due to which Gujarat’s batting did not get a chance to recover. The entire Gujarat team was all out for 150 runs and RCB won the match by 32 runs.
