IPL 2025 Winner Team: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs to win the IPL 2025 trophy. RCB has become the champion for the first time in 18 years of IPL history. This is the first time an IPL final has been played in Ahmedabad and the first batting team has won. RCB scored 190 runs while playing first, in response, Punjab team could score 184 runs.
Punjab Kings had a target of 191 runs. Chasing this big target, Punjab fielded 2 unaccounted players in the opening. Priyansh Arya and Prabhasimran Singh gave their team a fast start, but Priyansh was dismissed for 24 runs. Phil Salat caught Priyansh to the pavilion after catching a wonderful catch. Everything was going well and Punjab’s score was 72 runs at the loss of one wicket, but within the next 26 runs, Punjab lost 3 important wickets.
In this important match, captain Shreyas Iyer was also able to score only 1 runs. After seeing, Punjab lost 4 wickets on a score of 98. Nehal Vadhera and Shashank Singh gradually pushed the innings and added 38 runs together, but once the fall of wickets started, the match slipped from Punjab’s hand. Punjab lost 3 wickets within just 9 wickets.

The poor batting in the middle overs was one of the main reasons for the defeat of Punjab Kings. Within 4 overs, the Punjab team lost the wickets of Shreyas Iyer, Prabhasimran Singh and Josh English, from there, Punjab could not return to the match. In fact, after scoring one wicket on the score of 72, Punjab lost 3 wickets within 26 runs.
In the lower middle order, Punjab had batsmen like Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh, but after these 3 wickets, the batsmen of the Punjab team could not do any big partnership. Within these 26 runs, two wickets were taken by Krunal Pandya, while Romario Shepherd had dismissed Shreyas Iyer for just 1 run and broke the back of PBKS.
