There is a great news for the candidates who are dreaming of becoming a teacher. Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE Assam) of Assam has announced recruitment for a total of 10,673 posts in lower primary and upper primary schools of the state. The objective of this recruitment is to further strengthen the quality of education in government schools of the state.
At present, short notification of this recruitment has been issued, while the application process will start from 8 November 2025. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online by visiting the official website dee.assam.gov.in. This recruitment is considered to be a great opportunity for the teachers of Assam to establish their career permanently.
Only those candidates will be able to apply for this recruitment who are working as contractual or state pool teachers under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan till 30 September 2025. Additionally, the candidate must have completed at least three years of continuous service by 30 September 2025. The special thing is that candidates can apply only in the same post category in which they are currently working, and that too for only one post. The age limit information has not been released at present, which will be given in the detailed notification.
The selection of candidates will be completely on merit basis. That means there will be no written examination. Qualification, service period and work performance of the candidate will be taken into consideration for selection. Through this process, experienced teachers will get a chance for permanent appointment, which will further strengthen the education system of the state.

To apply, candidates will have to keep some necessary documents ready. These include passport size photograph, 10th (HSLC) admit card, 12th (HSSLC) marksheet and certificate, higher education marksheets, B.Ed. (Special Education) certificate (recognized by RCI), Certificate of Permanent Resident of Assam, ATET or CTET certificate and mark sheet. Along with this, disabled candidates will have to submit disability certificate issued by the government authority and ex-servicemen will have to submit the certificate issued by the Sainik Welfare Board. If the candidate has work experience, his certificate should also be attached.

How much salary?
Selected candidates will get a salary ranging from Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 per month. Apart from this, they will also get the benefit of other government allowances. This salary structure not only gives stability financially but also ensures respect and security in the profession.
How to apply?
To apply, candidates must first visit dee.assam.gov.in website. Click on “SSA Teacher Recruitment 2025” link on the homepage. After this go to “Direct Link” and open a new page. Now the candidates will have to fill all their required information and upload the necessary documents including passport size photo, signature. After this, pay the application fee and submit the form and take a printout of it for future reference.
