This is a great opportunity for the youth who are dreaming of serving the country by becoming officers in the Indian Navy. Indian Navy has released the official notification for Short Service Commission i.e. SSC Officer January 2027 course. Through this recruitment, a total of 260 posts will be filled in different branches of the Navy. Interested candidates will have to apply online within the due date.
How many posts will be recruited
Under this recruitment drive, the Indian Navy will appoint officers in the Executive, Technical and Education branches. A total of 76 posts have been kept in GS(X) and Hydro cadre under the Executive Branch, which includes 6 posts of Hydro cadre. Apart from this, 25 posts of Pilot, 20 posts of Naval Air Operations Officer (Observer) and 18 posts of Air Traffic Controller i.e. ATC will be filled. 10 posts have been fixed in the Logistics Branch, while there will be recruitment for 15 posts in the Education Branch. Talking about the technical side, there are 42 posts in Engineering Branch (General Service), 8 posts in Submarine Tech Engineering and a total of 38 posts in Electrical Branch (General Service and Submarine). In this way, recruitment will be done on a total of 260 posts.
Ability
To apply for SSC Officer posts, the candidate must have BE or BTech degree as per the post. In some branches, master’s degree in related subjects like MSc, MCA, Physics, Electronics, IT or other technical subjects is also valid. Candidates are advised to check the complete eligibility information related to their branch from the official notification.
age limit
The age of the candidate has been decided according to the branch. Generally the candidate should be born between 2 January 2002 or 2003 to 1 July 2006, 1 July 2007 or 1 January 2008. The age limit has been fixed differently for different posts.
how much salary will you get
Selected candidates will be given salary under Level-10 as SSC Officer. The starting salary will be around Rs 56,100 per month. Apart from this, dearness allowance, traveling allowance and other government facilities will also be available.
selection process
There will be no written examination in this recruitment. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualification. Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interview. Merit list will be prepared after SSB interview and final selection will be made on the basis of the same.
