Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the notification of constable recruitment 2026 in the police department. A total of 600+ posts will be filled under this recruitment. The special thing is that this recruitment is a great opportunity for those candidates who want to make a permanent and respectable career by serving in Jammu and Kashmir Police. The application process has been kept completely online, so that candidates can apply sitting at home.
According to the notification issued by JKSSB, appointments will be made to more than 600 posts of constable under this recruitment drive. Ability
It is mandatory for the candidates applying for this recruitment to have passed 10th or 12th from a recognized board. There may be a slight difference in the educational qualification for different posts, therefore candidates are advised to read the official notification carefully before applying.
age limit
The minimum age of the candidate for this recruitment should be 18 years. The maximum age limit has been fixed according to the category.
Age relaxation has been fixed at 28 years for general category, 30 years for reserved category and 40 years for special category candidates. According to government rules, age relaxation will also be given to reserved categories.
application fee
The application fee for this recruitment has been fixed at Rs 700 for general and unreserved category, while it has been fixed at Rs 600 for SC / ST / EWS category.
Fee can be paid through online mode (Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking).
selection process
Candidates will be selected in JKSSB Constable Recruitment in several stages. First of all, a written examination will be conducted, which will be MCQ based and the question paper will be in English language. Negative marking of ¼ marks will be applicable for wrong answers. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test). Document verification will be done in the final stage.
