There is great news for the youth waiting for government jobs in West Bengal. West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released the recruitment notification for 2308 posts of Special Education Teacher. The special thing is that this recruitment is not limited to big cities only, the opportunity is open for candidates from across the state. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website wbbpe.wb.gov.in.
Who can apply?
The eligibility of the candidates to participate in this recruitment has been clearly prescribed. First of all, the candidate must be TET qualified. Besides, D.El.Ed degree in the relevant field has also been made mandatory. This means that candidates who have already taken teacher training and have passed TET can easily apply.
What is the age limit fixed?
WBSSC has also fixed the age limit for this recruitment. The age of the applying candidate should be minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years. However, as per government rules, reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit, which will benefit SC, ST, OBC and other reserved category candidates.

The candidates selected in this recruitment will be given a salary of Rs 28,000 per month. This is a good salary package for the post of Special Education Teacher. Apart from this, being a government job, job stability, other allowances and facilities will also be available from time to time.
How much fees will have to be paid?
The application fee has been decided according to the category. The fee for general candidates is Rs 600. The fee for OBC candidates is Rs 500. There is no fee for SC, ST, EWS, PwD candidates.
How will the selection be done?
The selection process will be in two phases. Firstly, shortlisting will be done on the basis of TET score of the candidates. After this the selected candidates will be called for classroom teaching demo and interview. The final selection of the candidate will be made only after being successful in both these steps.
