There is great news from Haryana for the youth preparing to become government teachers. Haryana Public Service Commission has released the recruitment notification for the post of Post Graduate Teacher Computer Science. Under this recruitment, qualified candidates will be appointed to a total of 1672 posts. Interested candidates can visit the official website of Haryana Public Service Commission and apply till 5 pm on March 9, 2026.
How many posts will be recruited
This recruitment has been done for Computer Science subject. In this, 1594 posts have been earmarked for Haryana cadre, while 278 posts have been earmarked for Mewat cadre.
what should be the qualification
To apply for these posts, candidates must have post graduation or engineering degree in Computer Science or related subject. Candidates must have M.Sc. in Computer Science, three years MCA or BE or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT or Computer Engineering. Along with this, candidates should have obtained at least 55 percent marks. However, 5 percent relaxation has been given to SC and disabled candidates. Apart from this, it is necessary for the candidates to have passed HTET or STET. Also, candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit subject in 10th class or it is mandatory to have Hindi as a subject in higher education.
What is the age limit?
To apply for this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 42 years. Whereas reserved category candidates like SC, BC, Divyang and Ex-Servicemen candidates will be given age relaxation as per the rules of the government.
How much will the application fee cost?
To apply for this recruitment, different fees have been fixed for different categories of candidates. General, EWS and OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000. Whereas SC, BC, PWD and ex-servicemen candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 250. There will be no application fee for PWD candidates of Haryana.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected in three phases. First of all, a screening test will be conducted in which 100 multiple choice questions will be asked and a total of 100 marks will be assigned. Negative marking will also be applicable in this exam and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer. Candidates will be required to obtain at least 25 percent marks to proceed further. Candidates who pass the screening test will have to appear in the Subject Knowledge Test. This exam will be of 150 marks and its duration has been fixed at three hours. In this, questions will be asked from Computer Science, Programming and other related subjects. After this, successful candidates will be called for interview. The weightage of interview will be 12.5 percent. Final merit list will be released on the basis of performance in all stages.
How much salary will you get?
According to the Commission, the selected candidates under this recruitment will get a salary ranging from Rs 47,600 to Rs 1,51,100. Along with this, other allowances and facilities will also be given as per government rules.
