For this post, the candidate must have the completion of intermediate (biology or maths) with science subject. Along with this, there should be a two -year diploma in optometry or according to the NPCB guideline, a recognized government hospital has taken two years training as an ophthalmic assistant. Apart from this, candidates with intermediate from a government, private or semi -government institution recognized by the Government of Bihar can also apply to the candidates with a two -year degree in opthalmic assistant.

Under this recruitment campaign, selected candidates will get an honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month.

According to the age limit, the minimum age of the applicant should be 21 years and maximum 42 years. Candidates of reserved category will be given age relaxation as per the rules of the government.
