According to reports, Govinda’s name was first revealed for this Sridevi starrer film. However, later Rishi Kapoor was cast and the film was a huge hit.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001)
This blockbuster film of Sunny Deol was first offered to Govinda. It is said that he refused it because he did not like the script. Later this film became one of the biggest hits of Hindi cinema.
Devdas (2002)
The role of Chunni Babu was first offered to Govinda in this Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai starrer film. After his refusal, this character was played by Jackie Shroff.
Cadence (1999)
Anil Kapoor played the role of Vikrant Kapoor in this musical hit film of Akshay Khanna and Aishwarya Rai. But very few people know that this role was first offered to Govinda.
Biwi No.1 (1999)
Some reports claimed that due to differences with Sushmita Sen, Govinda had left a film, which was later done by Salman Khan.
