Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public hearing program held at his residence on Wednesday (August 20). The name of the accused is being described as Rajesh Bhai Khimji Bhai Sakaria, who reached the meeting as a complainant and suddenly attacked the Chief Minister on the pretext of showing the documents.

The security personnel immediately controlled him and started interrogation by taking custody. The Chief Minister has been taken to the hospital for treatment. Now the question arises as to who is the accused and why he attacked the CM.

Who is the accused?

According to sources, the accused hails from Rajkot in Gujarat and is about 41 years old. In the initial information, it was revealed that the accused had brought an application to rescue a family from jail, who is under consideration in the court.

However, the new twist in this case came when the accused’s mother Bhanu Ben spoke to the media. He told that his son is not associated with any political party but an animal lover. The mother of the accused said, “My son was sad about the case of dogs. He always used to say that dogs should not be beaten but should feed them. That is why he went to Delhi.”

How to attack?

According to police sources, the accused reached in front of CM Rekha Gupta with some paper during public hearing. First he started the conversation on the pretext of showing the documents and suddenly slapped his hair.

The security personnel present on the spot took immediate action and caught the accused and took him out of the venue. After the incident, the CM suffered minor injuries and was taken to a close hospital. At present, his condition is said to be stable.

This attack is being strongly condemned from every side. Both the opposition and the ruling party say that there is no place for violence in the democratic system and such an attack is unacceptable. Delhi Police has registered an FIR against the accused and his purpose is being investigated in depth.
