Rekha gupta on delhi jal board: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a historic decision today regarding the cleaning and drinking water supply of Yamuna in Delhi. The CM has given the Delhi Jal Board a gift of economic and administrative autonomy.
Under this, now the board will be able to approve and implement projects up to 50 crores, for which the approval of the cabinet will not be required.
Work like pipeline and boosting stations will be fast
Talking about financial rights, the financial autonomy of ₹ 50 crore to the Chairman, ₹ 25 crore to CEO and other officers has been increased. The biggest advantage of this decision has been that works like STP, Demilting Plant, Pipeline and Boosting Station will now be fast.
CM Rekha Gupta said that “We have made the Jal Board a real ‘board” “. The CM alleged that Yamuna and water supply schemes were stalled due to their decisions. Now the result will be rapid on cleaning the rule, drains and Yamuna. Along with curbing corruption, accountability and transparency will increase.
