Release date of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ confirmed, the film will hit the theaters after so many days of ‘Ramayana’

Shahrukh Khan was last seen in the film Dunky, released in December 2024. Now the superstar is going to return to the big screen with his action packed film ‘King’. ‘King’ will be released in theaters only in 2026, but still fans will have to wait a long time for it. The release date of Shahrukh Khan’s most awaited film ‘King’ has been revealed. This film will hit the theaters one and a half months after the release of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’.

According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, ‘King’ directed by Siddharth Anand is ready to hit the theaters on Christmas 2026. The important thing is that at present there is no big Bollywood film lineup for Christmas release. In such a situation, Shahrukh Khan’s ‘King’ can rule the box office unilaterally. Makers can announce the release date of ‘King’ next week.

Makers were considering two dates
Regarding the release date of ‘King’, the report quoted sources as saying – ‘SRK and Siddharth Anand were considering many options for the release of their film, out of which two were at the forefront, 4th December and 25th December. After considering all the options, he has finalized the release date of Christmas 2026 for his action-packed film.

‘King’ will be released 45 days after Ramayana!
The makers of ‘King’ have decided to release the film on Christmas instead of December 4 because of ‘Ramayana’. The report further states – ‘SRK and Siddharth Anand want to maintain distance from Ramayana, which can make historic earnings. He does not want to harm the earnings of this divine saga in any way, so he has fixed the release date of Christmas 2026. This will leave a gap of 45 days between Ramayana and King, due to which both the films get the time they deserve.

Mega star cast of ‘King’
Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan will be seen with him in ‘King’. Suhana will debut on the big screen through ‘King’. Apart from this, many stars like Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma are also a part of ‘King’.
