The news of relief is coming out for crores of farmers across the country. Farmers have been waiting for the 20th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) for a long time. It is now reported that this installment may be announced next week. According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can announce it during the Motihari visit of Bihar on 18 July. However, the official confirmation is yet to come.

Why didn’t the installment not come yet?

Under the scheme, farmers are given financial assistance of 6000 every year, which is given in three installments. Last time, money came to the farmers’ account at the end of February. In such a situation, it was expected that the 20th installment would come by the end of June. Now the first week of July has also passed, but the amount has not come yet. According to reports, preparations have been completed. As soon as the Prime Minister’s foreign trip ends, the installment can be announced.
