Relief to CEO Bhavish Aggarwal in Ola engineer suicide case, court tells Bengaluru police not to harass in the name of investigation.


Ola Employee Suicide Case: Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has got some relief in the case of suicide of a 38-year-old engineer. Karnataka High Court has ordered Bengaluru Police not to harass Ola Electric Mobility founder Bhavish and others. Let us tell you that Bengaluru Police has registered a case of abetment to suicide against Bhavish as well as senior executive Subrata Kumar Das.

Justice Mohammad Nawaz, in an order passed last week, said that the police should not harass petitioners Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Electric Company and Subrata Kumar Das in the name of investigation. According to Hindustan Times report, the court said, “The police are investigating the case registered at Subramanyapura Police Station, Bengaluru City. The police will not harass the petitioners under the guise of investigation.” The name of the deceased engineer was K. Aravind, who was working as a homologation engineer in Ola Electric since the year 2022.

Aravind’s elder brother lodged a complaint

Aravind’s elder brother K.Ashwin had lodged a complaint with the police. He has accused Aravind of repeatedly insulting him, pressurizing him and not paying his salary, due to which Aravind chose to commit suicide due to which he was upset. Ola Electric has challenged the FIR lodged on behalf of Ashwin. This matter is currently pending in the Karnataka High Court.

Here, Ola Electric, while giving clarification, said in an official statement that Arvind allegedly never filed a complaint of harassment against anyone during his three-year tenure at Ola Electric. Apart from this, Arvind had no direct connection with the top management of the company in his role.

Arvind tried to commit suicide by drinking poison

According to media reports, Arvind had tried to commit suicide by drinking poison in his apartment in Chikkalasandra on 28 September 2025. After coming to know about this incident, Arvind was immediately taken to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, where despite all efforts, Arvind could not be saved. Arvind left behind a suicide note, in which he made many serious allegations against the company and its staff.
