10 years of the Patidar movement in Gujarat have been completed. On this occasion, Hardik Patel, who was the face of the Patidar movement, said that I request everyone to take advantage of the schemes and commissions received from the movement.
He said, “On this day, the Patidar movement was started with the help of everyone to ensure reservation in government education and jobs for the poor and economically weak Patidar community of Gujarat. After almost three years of struggle and sacrifice, not only the Patidar community of Gujarat but also about 30 communities living outside the scope of reservation got non-reserved commissions and corporations, as well as a scheme of Rs 1000 crore per year under the Chief Minister Yuva Swavalamban Yojana and the age limit of five years in government jobs was increased. ‘
BJP MLA Hardik Patel wrote on X, “With the efforts of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi in January 2019, for the first time in the history of India, more than 50 communities including Patidar, Brahmins, Rajputs, including Gujarat, got the benefit of 10% reservation on economic basis. Almost every day I get a call that Hardikbhai, due to the agitation you started, the reservation and scheme came into force, due to which I got a job or admission. This fight was for the poor people of the society and was successful.
If you want to get something, then you have to lose something- Hardik Patel
He said, “Many people have lost a lot in this movement, some have lost their family members, while 20 youths like me spent many months of their life, many cases including me were filed against me, but there is a saying that if something is to be achieved, then something has to be lost. I am not sad at all that I went to jail, but I am sad that I lost the youth of the society, but I am happy with the benefits that the society got from this movement.
Hardik said, “This movement was of the whole society and history will always remember this movement. I heartily congratulate all the young Patidars and Patidar families of Gujarat on the Patidar Revolution Day and pay tribute to the martyr Patidar youth.
Legislators of BJP left Congress and become MLA
Let us know that this 2015 movement proved to be a national identity for Hardik at the national level. In 2019, he joined the Congress and became the executive president of the party’s Gujarat unit in 2020. However, after criticizing the Congress in 2022, he joined the BJP. Today he is a BJP MLA from Viramgam and is playing an active role in the party.
