US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wished India a happy Republic Day and praised the cooperation being done between the two countries under the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) in defense and other areas. Rubio said the US-India relationship is delivering concrete results for both countries through close cooperation on defense, energy and critical minerals, and for the Indo-Pacific region through the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad).
American leader Marco Rubio gave a special message for India on the Republic Day being celebrated on 26 January. Rubio said on Sunday (25 January 2026), ‘On behalf of the people of America, I heartily congratulate the people of India on their Republic Day.’ Referring to the group of Australia, India, Japan and America, he said, ‘There is a historic relationship between America and India. From our close cooperation on defense, energy, critical minerals, and emerging technologies to our multi-level engagement through the Quad, the US-India relationship is delivering real results for both our countries and for the Indo-Pacific region.
