After the victory of the Democrats in three important elections in America, Indian-origin Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy has given an instruction to the Republican Party workers. His guidance also includes the victory of Zohran Mamdani in the New York City mayor election.
Vivek Ramaswamy posted a video on social media platform X on Wednesday (November 5, 2025). In its caption, Ramaswamy wrote, ‘Tonight’s lessons, without any pretense. (Lessons from Tonight, no sugar coating.)’
He said, ‘We lost badly in all three places, New Jersey, Virginia and New York City. Democrats won in all three places. The Republican Party should take two important lessons from these results. He said, ‘Republicans, listen carefully, there are two main lessons from these elections.’
Vivek Ramaswami explained lessons to Republican leaders
He said, ‘The first lesson is that the party should pay attention to inflation and cost of living. First of all, our party should focus on affordable living. The American dream must be made affordable again. We should work on reducing the cost of electricity, ration, health services and housing and it should be clearly explained how we will do this.

He said that the second lesson is related to identity politics. Ramaswamy appealed to Republican leaders to stay away from such politics and focus on shared values. He said, “Second lesson, eliminate identity politics completely. This is not for the Republican Party. This is the game of the woke left, not ours. We do not care about the color of your skin or religion, we care about the depth of your character. This is our identity.”
Vivek Ramaswami’s video post went viral rapidly
After the election of Mayor of New York City, this video of Vivek Ramaswamy quickly went viral on social media platforms and within a few hours it has been viewed more than 20 lakh times. This video of Vivek also sparked debate on the internet, where many people agreed with his views on inflation and identity politics.
