New Zealand all-rounder Doug Bracewell has retired from all forms of cricket. Bracewell represented the New Zealand team in 69 international cricket matches, in which he took 120 wickets and scored a total of 915 runs in batting. Bracewell played his last international match against Sri Lanka.

Doug Bracewell recently suffered a rib injury, after which he had to say goodbye to the game of cricket. New Zealand Cricket Board has also officially confirmed Bracewell’s retirement on social media platform X.

Confirming Doug Bracewell’s retirement, the New Zealand Cricket Board wrote, “All-rounder Doug Bracewell has retired from all forms of cricket. Bracewell played 28 Tests, 21 ODI and 20 T20 matches for New Zealand, in which he scored 120 wickets and 915 runs. He played an important role in New Zealand’s last Test victory over Australia in Obert. He took 6 wickets for 40 runs in the second innings. Gave us a memorable win by 7 runs, Doug, congratulations on a great career.

Doug Bracewell said on his retirement that playing cricket for New Zealand was his greatest pride. In his first-class career, he took 422 wickets in 137 matches. In his long first-class career, he also scored 4,505 runs including 3 centuries and 24 half-centuries.
