Bihar Assembly elections of 2025 are to be held in two phases. Today (Thursday) is the last day for withdrawal of nominations. Meanwhile, RJD leader Ritu Jaiswal (State President, Women’s Wing) has not only accused one of her party’s candidates (Smita Gupta) of giving wrong information in the affidavit but has also asked Tejashwi Yadav to take a decision.
Ritu Jaiswal wrote in her X post on Thursday (October 23, 2025) morning, “Respected Tejashwi ji, the party wanted to send me away from Parihar, and I chose the path of rebellion. Mistakes were made from both sides. But the person due to whom this entire controversy arose has also made a serious mistake.”
Respected Tejashwi ji,
the party gave me #avoidance Wanted to send me away from, and I chose the path of rebellion. Mistakes were made from both sides. But the person due to whom this entire controversy arose has also committed a serious mistake.

‘He will have to lose his seat after a few days’
She further writes, “The RJD candidate has mentioned his age as 49 years in the four affidavits attached with his nomination papers, whereas as per the voter list, his actual age is 43 years. This is clearly a false affidavit, due to which his nomination should have been cancelled. Even if such a candidate wins, a case will be filed in the court, and after a few days he will have to lose his seat.”
Through the post, Ritu Jaiswal has said, “For the development of Parihar, it is necessary to ensure the defeat of the sitting MLA here. There is a direct contest between the sitting MLA and Ritu Jaiswal and the chances of the RJD candidate’s victory are negligible. Her presence will only lead to scattering of votes, due to which the same people who have kept Parihar in the dark for the last 15 years will win again.”
He has asked Tejashwi Yadav to take a decision on this. It is written, “Today is the last day of withdrawal of nominations. If the RJD candidate withdraws his name, and I am declared an independent candidate supported by the Grand Alliance, then it will be a politically wise decision and a proof of your sensitivity towards the people of Parihar. It is up to you to take the decision. Parihar is looking at you with hopeful eyes. Regards, Ritu Jaiswal, Independent candidate, 25-Parihar Assembly Constituency.”
