Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Union Minister Smriti Irani fiercely targeted RJD and the opposition in Patna. He said that NDA government will be formed in Bihar and not RJD. Smriti Irani claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did what the RJD government could never do.
He said that about 3 crore women of Bihar have benefited from Jan Dhan Yojana, toilets have been built in every house and 1 crore 16 lakh sisters have got clean fuel under Ujjwala Yojana. Smriti Irani said that under the Women Employment Scheme, Rs 10,000 has been sent to the accounts of 1 crore 30 lakh women. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, women got 33% reservation, which has increased the participation of women in both politics and administration.
What did Smriti say on women empowerment?
Smriti Irani said, “The work done by the NDA government for the empowerment of women is historic. Women have got not only social but also economic empowerment.” He appealed to the women to contribute in forming the NDA government in Bihar.
Attack on RJD
Attacking RJD, he said that RJD has complained to the Election Commission against the Women Employment Scheme. This clearly shows that RJD has a mentality against women. The party which is worried about the progress of women will only take the state backward.
‘RJD’s announcements are just a jhunjhunu’- Smriti
Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s recent promises, Smriti Irani said, “RJD’s announcements are just jingles, the public will no longer accept these empty promises. The people of Bihar have learned that development and security are possible only in the NDA government.”
