
Delhi Fire News: A fierce fire broke out in the slums on Sunday (April 27) in Sector-17 of Rohini, Delhi. In this incident, two children were killed while five people were injured.

An official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said that the fire personnel took over the fire completely after three hours of hard work, but the cooling campaign is still going on at the scene.

Rohini Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Goyal said that burnt bodies of two children were recovered from the spot, whose age is two and a half years and three years. A DFS official said that he had received information about the incident at around 11:55 am.

The deputy commissioner said that the fire was reported near the Srikhetan apartment in Sector 17. We immediately sent 17 fire engines. More vehicles and personnel were called after information about a very fierce fire.

The official said that due to the fire in Rohini area, more than 800 slums spread over five acres were gutted. When the firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire, there was a thick smoke in the sky.

The DFS official said that it took more than three hours to overcome the fire completely. The fire is now completely under control. Several teams of police have also been deployed at the scene along with the fire department.

According to DFS, there was a fire in a slum first and it immediately engulfed the entire area.
