Rohit Sharma has been made the brand ambassador of T20 World Cup 2026. He has retired from T20 and Test formats, so he will not be seen playing in the 2026 World Cup. Rohit Sharma has said that he is now getting used to staying at home. Rohit Sharma now plays only ODI matches, hence compared to earlier he is seen playing very few matches in a year.
Rohit Sharma had said goodbye to T20 and Test formats within a year. The decision of retirement is not easy for any cricketer, but with this he is able to spend more time with his family.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah had announced Rohit Sharma as the brand ambassador of the 2026 T20 World Cup. On this, Rohit Sharma said, “Being a part of all the previous T20 World Cups, but now just sitting and watching on TV, it will be a very different experience. I am getting used to staying at home and watching the matches.”
Rohit Sharma has been India’s most successful batsman in T20 cricket. He scored 4231 runs in 159 T20 matches in his career. Second in the list of Indians is Virat Kohli, who had scored 4188 runs in his T20 career.

Rohit Sharma expressed hope that under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team will once again win the T20 World Cup title. He said, “Hopefully the team will once again be able to repeat last year’s miraculous performance, this time with some new players. Winning an ICC tournament is a very difficult task. In my 18-year-old career, I have been fortunate to have won 2 ICC trophies in the recent past.”
