The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced the 15-member Indian squad for the South Africa ODI series on 23 November. India vs South Africa ODI series will be played from 30 November-6 December, in which Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will not be there. Both these players are out of the team due to injury. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has started sweating in practice for the upcoming ODI series.

Rohit Sharma played his last match for Team India about a month ago. He stole the show by playing an unbeaten inning of 121 runs against Australia in Sydney. Now, to prepare for the home ODI series against South Africa, he has taken the help of Amit Dubey, the current physiotherapist of Mumbai Indians. Amit Dubey is a well-known name in Indian cricket.

Amit Dubey is working for Mumbai Indians since December 2022. He has also worked under BCCI from 2017-2020. Since the team’s regular captain Shubman Gill will not be playing in this series, there will be more burden on Rohit’s shoulders. KL Rahul will be captaining Team India, who will be supported by the experience of Rohit Sharma.

Even in the series against Australia, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli supported the new captain Shubman Gill a lot. Captain KL Rahul, selected for the series against South Africa, has more experience than Gill, but Rohit and Virat can definitely be seen contributing to the team.

Indian squad for South Africa series: Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul (captain and wicketkeeper), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana.
