How To Make Chowmein From Leftover Roti: Real skill in the kitchen is seen when we make something new and interesting from leftover food. Often no one likes the rotis left over from the night the next day. If the same thing is served again in the same style then even the family members do not feel like it. But if the same stale roti is given a new twist, then the same simple chapatti can become everyone’s favourite. Usually, people make roti choora or upma from the leftover rotis, but this time something different can be tried by giving them a Chinese twist. In this, Roti Chow Mein or Roti Noodles tastes amazing and is especially liked by children. This dish is prepared quickly and does not require much effort. But let us tell you how you can make its chow mein.

How to make roti noodles?

If you are thinking of making roti noodles, then it is very easy to make. First of all, fold the remaining rotis and cut them into thin long strips, just like noodles. After this, heat some oil in a wok or pan. Add finely chopped ginger and garlic to it and fry it lightly. After this, add vegetables of your choice like capsicum, carrot, cabbage or onion and cook on high flame till it remains slightly crunchy. When you feel that it is cooked, take it off.

How to bring Chinese taste?

Now it’s time for real Chinese taste. Add one spoon soy sauce, some tomato ketchup and a few drops of vinegar in the pan. If you want, you can also add some chili sauce, so that the taste becomes more spicy. Add salt and pepper and mix everything well. When the masala is ready, add the chopped rotis to it and toss well for 2-3 minutes, so that all the sauce gets mixed well in the roti.

Within a few minutes, your spicy chow mein made from stale roti is ready. This dish is a perfect option for evening snack, children’s tiffin or for sudden hunger. The best thing is that there is no food wastage and the people at home also remain happy. Therefore, next time before throwing away the homemade bread, try to make something different from it, which children as well as elders like to eat.
