This rally was being taken out in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in the city and increasing crimes. Congress workers were taking out a huge rally against the increasing crime in the city and the alleged negligence of the police. As soon as the rally passed through Belbagh area, the atmosphere suddenly became tense. It is being told that the rally was passing near the residence of former BJP MLA Anchal Sonkar, when the dispute started from there.
Accused of waving pistol from the balcony
In the viral video, it is clearly visible that a young man holding a pistol in his hand is waving from the balcony of the building towards the protesters standing below. It is being claimed on social media that this young man is Raja Sonkar, son of former MLA Anchal Sonkar. Meanwhile, a video of a woman present there showing slippers to the protesters has also surfaced, which further increased the anger.
As soon as the video of the incident surfaced, Congress leaders reacted sharply. He says that this entire incident was done with the intention of scaring and instigating the rally. Congress leaders raised the question that where were the police when pistols were being waved openly. The party has demanded immediate arrest of the accused and strict action.

Police took cognizance
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Jabalpur Police has taken cognizance. Jabalpur ASP Suryakant Sharma said that the authenticity of the video is being investigated. It is also being seen whether the weapon visible is licensed or not. After completion of the investigation, action will be taken as per law.
Congress MLA Lakhan Ghanghoria said that this incident exposes law and order. He alleged that people associated with power are no longer afraid of the law and efforts are being made to scare the general public. At present the police investigation is going on.
