‘Russia is no longer India’s friend like before…’, Congress leader Udit Raj’s shocking statement before Putin’s visit


Before Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, a statement by Congress leader Udit Raj has increased the discussion in political circles. Udit Raj said that Russia is no longer as reliable a partner as before and it did not get as much support as it should have in India’s major crises.

Earlier Russia used to stand together like a rock- Udit Raj
While talking to the media, Udit Raj said that Russia has been a strong friend of India for a long time, but during the Pahalgam terrorist attack and India-Pakistan war, Russia’s support was not as expected. According to him, this affected India’s position at the international level.

Demand to strengthen old friendship again
He said that the friendship between India and Russia has been going on since the time of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi and now there is a need to make it as strong as before. Udit Raj expressed hope that the current meetings can improve relations.

Accusation of American pressure
Regarding Russian oil imports, Congress leader Udit Raj claimed that India has reduced the purchase of oil from Russia due to American pressure. He said that earlier India did not do this. He also said that India should again build a trusting relationship with Russia as before.

Putin’s two-day visit to India from today
Russian President Vladimir Putin will reach New Delhi on Thursday evening. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host an informal dinner in his honor at night. The purpose of this visit is said to be to further strengthen defence, trade and strategic partnership, especially at a time when relations between India and America are witnessing tension. This is President Putin’s tenth visit to India. Earlier, Vladimir Putin had come to India in the year 2021.
