With the help of this scholarship, Indian students can study in all the big universities of Russia, which is a big relief for Indian students because about 31,000 Indian students are pursuing higher education in Russia, out of which the largest number are those students who are studying MBBS. Many universities of Russia are starting the application process under this scholarship scheme.

This scholarship scheme of Russia is not only for bachelor level studies, but under this scheme, Indian students can apply for admission in Master, MPhil, Bachelor and many other programs. To apply for this scholarship scheme, you will have to visit its official website education-in-russia.com, but good universities like Lomonosov Moscow State University and MGIMO have not been included in this scheme.
Which subjects can Indian students study?
Indian students can study many subjects with the help of this scheme, which includes various courses like Pharmacy, Aerospace, Engineering, Management, Maths and Economics. If a student does not know Russian language, then a separate program will be run for such students, through which students can study Russian language and learn the language, but students who have to learn Russian language, they will be taught the language one year before the start of their degree or studies.
How will the selection process be?
- There will be no entrance exam to apply for this scheme.
- Selection of students will be based on their previous studies or course marks and portfolio.
- The portfolio will include documents like research papers, certificates related to Olympiad and any competition.
- While applying, students can choose up to 6 universities as per their choice and the final selection will depend on the scrutiny of the university and the availability of seats in the university.
- The first phase of this scheme will run till January 15 and in the second phase, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia will allot colleges to the students in collaboration with universities.
