Russia ukraine war: Vladimir Putin and Volodimir Jailonski are seen agreeing to end the war going on in Russia Ukraine for years. Both leaders are expected to meet in the Turki. However, Kremlin has not given any official statement on this.
When the Kremlin spokesperson was asked about President Putin going to Turki, he refused to give any information on it. However, international pressure is increasing on Moscow to interact directly with Ukraine and end the war that has been going on for three years.
Istanbul will go to Russian Delegation on May 15
Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov told reporters on Wednesday (May 14, 2025) that Moscow would disclose the nature of his delegation in Turkia only after Putin’s order was received. He said that the Russian delegation would wait for the Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul on 15 May.
Peskov said that when we get instructions related to the President, he will give updates. No such instructions have been received so far. The dialogue already decided which is expected to be at the commercial center of Istanbul on Thursday. This will be the first direct talks between Kiev and Moscow since 2022, which took place immediately after Russia’s attack on its neighbor Ukraine.
Jailonski can meet Erdogan
Jailonski can meet Erdogan on Wednesday or Thursday in Turki. Jailonsky challenged President Putin to meet and said that if he does not meet, it would be believed that Moscow is not willing to make peace between the two countries. Apart from this, Jailonski has also appealed to Donald Trump to come to Turkas and join this meeting. Trump is currently on a tour of Middle East. Trump said on Wednesday that there is a possibility that if Putin also travels to Ukraine, he will also go to Turki for talks.
