Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky has informed about the Russia attack in the capital Kiev on Friday (August 29, 2025). President Jailonsci said that 22 people died in an attack by Russia on the night of Wednesday (August 27, 2025). The attack took place on a residential building located in Darnitski district of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Four children were also among the 22 people who died.
The Ukrainian President shared a report on the social media platform X on Friday (August 29, 2025) quoting Ukraine’s Internal Minister Ihor Climenco. The report said that after the Russian attack, relief and rescue work in residential building has been completed. Along with this, the death toll in the attack has also been updated.

Jailonski said in his post, “The report of Igor Climenco, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has come to the rescue work in the residential building located in Darnitski district. Now the debris of the destroyed building is being removed.”

He said, “So far, 22 people have been confirmed to be killed in this attack, including four children. The youngest girl, who died in the attack, is less than three years old. I express my condolences to the people killed in the attack and their family members.”
Necessary help being delivered to all needy people- Jailonski
Jailonski said, “A total of 23 people were killed in a Russian attack on Wednesday (August 27), while 53 people were badly injured. At the same time, eight people have not been detected yet. All the needy people affected by this attack are being given necessary help. I am very grateful to all the people involved in first responsibility, police officers, doctors, nurses, municipalities and emergency services.”
