Government media quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying on Monday that it had shot down 345 drones in the last 24 hours. Two of these villages have been captured. RTA news agency has said that the Russian army has captured the settlements of Prokrovka and Minkivka in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier on February 15, news had come that major attacks had been carried out in the Black Sea area. Where an important port of Russia caught fire after Ukraine’s drone attack. The Governor of Krasnodar had said that the attack had damaged oil storage tanks, warehouses and terminals. Two other people have been injured. On the other hand, Russian drone attack has caused damage to civil and transport infrastructure in Odessa area of Ukraine. Electricity and water supply has been affected there.
Trilateral talks to be held in Geneva, Switzerland
Here, US-led talks are going to be held between Russia and Ukraine to end the war that has been going on for the last four years. These talks are to be held in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday and Wednesday. In this, diplomats of the three countries will discuss the peace proposal given by the Trump administration.
Earlier, a trilateral meeting between the three countries was held in Abu Dhabi city of Arab Emirates. There was no result in this. But it was agreed to continue the talks. Apart from this, it has been claimed that the final talks between Russia and Ukraine are in the final stages. The matter is stuck regarding Donbass area. Russia wants Donbass to become its territory. But Ukraine is not ready to back down on this.
