Talking to European News website Uractative, the Foreign Minister also spoke on Europe’s changing geographical and better EU-India relations in future. India is interacting with the European Union on a major free trade agreement as India wants to diversify its partnership between growing relations between Russia and China.

The Foreign Minister criticized the manner in which Europe introduced Operation Sindoor as a conflict between two countries after the Pahalgam terror attack. Why did he stay safe for years in a Pakistani military city next to the West Point? I want the world to understand that this is not only the issue of India-Pakistan. It is about terrorism, and this terrorism will also persecute you (Europe).

What did Jaishankar say on Russia-Ukraine war?

When asked about Russia and Ukraine, why did India not join the European Union and other Western countries in banning Russia after the attack on Ukraine, the Foreign Minister reiterated India’s stand and said that peace cannot come through war. He said that we do not believe that differences can be resolved through war, we do not believe that any solution will come out of the battlefield.

S Jaishankar said that it is not our job to decide what the solution should be. I say that we are not direct or decisive, we are not involved in it. He said that naturally every country considers its experience history and interests. India’s oldest complaint is that our borders were violated only a few months after independence, when Pakistan sent the invaders in Kashmir and those countries that were supporting Pakistan the most were the countries of Europe.
