He further said that we have a common commitment towards development and prosperity. However, these commitments are at risk due to the common threat of cross-border terrorism faced by both countries. We must make joint efforts to deal with terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. We appreciate your sensitivity to India’s security concerns. Your solidarity with us was much better after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
‘India first sent help during earthquake in Afghanistan’
S Jaishankar said that we have got many opportunities to talk to each other. Once after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and second time after the Kunar and Nangarhar earthquakes. Our in-person meetings have special significance as they provide us with the opportunity to exchange ideas, identify common interests and build closer cooperation. He told that within a few hours of the disaster in Afghanistan last month, Indian relief material was the first to be delivered to the earthquake sites. Apart from this, we would also like to contribute in the reconstruction of houses in the affected areas.
S Jaishankar said that your invitation to Indian companies to explore mining opportunities in Afghanistan is also highly commendable. This can be discussed further also. We have a common interest in promoting trade and commerce. I am happy to inform you about the launch of additional flights between Kabul and New Delhi.
