India’s Foreign Policy: India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said at an event on Saturday (March 23) that India is one of the select countries that can interact with the two sides of the world struggling. He gave the example of India’s stance in the Russia-Ukraine War and Israel-Hamas struggle for this.
In the Business Today event ‘Mindarsh 2025’, Jaishankar said, “In the current dunia in different groups, India is one of the few countries which may be Russia or Ukraine, Israel or Iran, Quad or BRICS. Everyone’s support, the formula of Sabka Vikas also applies equally to foreign policy.
Good relations with all countries of India
Unlike Western countries, India has not favored any one country in the Ukraine-Russia war. PM Modi also visited Russia in the last year and also of Ukraine. Similarly, India has been fair in the differences between Israel and Iran. India has balanced its strategic relations with both countries. For India, Israel is a major source for defense techniques and equipment, while it is dependent on Iran for crude oil. In any struggle to be held around the world, India’s efforts have been to restore peace by interacting with both sides.
The attitude of looking at conflicts is different
Jaishankar said that the relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi with leaders around the world makes a lot clear. India’s attitude towards political changes around the world also takes direction under this. Jaishankar also said that India looked at the Russia-Ukraine war, its reasons and its broad environment from a very clear perspective and decided to take its stand towards it, while many other countries were emotionally swept away in this matter.
