Former England captain Joe Root has scored the 40th Test century of his career. He achieved this feat in the second Ashes Test against Australia. He has now come to fourth place in terms of scoring most centuries in Test cricket history. This was the total 59th century of his international career. On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar has the most centuries in Test cricket, who has 51 centuries to his name. Jacques Kallis is at second place in this list, who had scored 45 centuries.
