India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar mourned the death of 11 people during the RCB’s IPL victory outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, saying it is a very frightening tragedy. Tendulkar wrote on ‘X’, “Whatever happened at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is frightening. My senses towards every affected family. Everyone should get relaxed and power.”
Former South Africa and RCB batsman AB de Villiers said, “My senses and prayers to the people affected by this tragedy at Chinnaswamy Stadium.”
Anil Kumble, former India captain and coach and resident of Bengaluru, called it a sad day for cricket. He wrote, “Sadly day for cricket. My condolences to the families of people who lost their loved ones in celebrating RCB’s victory. Wish the injured to get well soon.”
Yuvraj Singh wrote, “The moment of celebration turned into an unimaginable tragedy. My condolences to everyone affected by the Bengaluru accident. The departed souls should be peaceful and power to their family.”
Virat Kohli shared the official statement of the RCB team that came after a stampede in Bengaluru and wrote, “I am completely broken, I do not have a word to say.”
