Now a new way of free travel in DTC buses has started for the women of Delhi. Saheli Pink Smart Card 2026 has been launched by Delhi Government. This is now a big step towards digital journey for the women of Delhi. Its objective is to provide safe, easy and tech-friendly transport facilities to women and transgender passengers.

Instead of paper tickets, emphasis is now being laid on tap and travel model. So that the journey can be done in a fast and orderly manner. The government is looking at it by linking it with women empowerment and smart mobility. Know which women can become Saheli Pink Smart Card.

Now traveling will be done through digital card

This card launched in Delhi is based on the National Common Mobility Card Framework. Due to which the ticketing process in buses will become completely digital. This will reduce the need for long queues and paper tickets. The card will have identification like photo and QR code attached to it. So that misuse can be prevented. The aim of the government is that women can travel comfortably for job, college or important work without spending on fare. This initiative is being considered a big step in making public transport in the capital more safe and modern.

Bus, Metro and RRTS from one card

Saheli Pink Smart Card will not be limited to DTC buses only. Through this, passengers will also be able to travel in the network of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and National Capital Region Transport Corporation. That means, entry into bus, metro and RRTS will become easy with a single card. The government will also understand travel data through this system. So that route planning and service can be improved.

Who can apply?

Some eligibility criteria have been fixed by the government for Saheli Pink Smart Card. This card has been made available to permanent female residents and transgender persons of Delhi. Age limit has been fixed for this. For this the age has been fixed at least 12 years. Aadhar card or voter ID and address proof of Delhi will be required for application.

How to apply?

To get Saheli Pink Smart Card, you can fill the online form by visiting the official website of Delhi Transport Corporation or Pink Saheli portal. After registration with mobile number, uploading of necessary documents and verification, the card will be sent home. For offline application, DTC depot or nearest service center can also be contacted.
