Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan shared a lot of things about his personal and professional life in his recent interview. Along with this he told that to become a successful actor one has to leave one’s vanity.

It is important to leave your own preferences and focus on the audience’s preferences. He said, ‘Sometimes I feel that I did a great role, went to the gym and remained fit, did action sequences. However, overall the question arises whether people want to see it? Or is it just my ego?

While talking to Hollywood Reporter India, Saif Ali Khan explained his point and said that only the director and producer can decide which role is most perfect for an artist.

He told that sometimes he himself gets lost in the things he likes. But here it is important that the audience’s choice should be given priority instead of one’s own choice.

Recalling his past experiences, Saif said that he had completely kept his pride aside while working in romantic comedy films about 20 years ago.

Romantic films gave him a different kind of experience and opportunity. He further said that sometimes dressing up like actors, showing off and playing stylish roles turns into arrogance. Giving examples, he said that while playing Jason Bourne or a thriller role, he felt like he was trapped in the trap of arrogance.

Recognizing ego is a very difficult task
Saif stressed that an actor’s aim should always be to entertain the audience and not just himself. He admitted that it is difficult to recognize ego and keep it away from work but it is necessary for honesty towards oneself and better acting. Let us tell you that Saif is in the news because of his upcoming film ‘Haivaan’.
