People’s Conference President and Handwara MLA Sajjad Lone reacted strongly on the announcement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday (August 15) to launch the signature campaign for the state status on Independence Day. He warned against ‘joking’ of this campaign and urged him to adopt a respectable, constitutional path. He called it ‘childish’.
He wrote on the social media platform X, “We will support any movement towards the state status. But please do not make fun of the status of the state. We are already struggling with the influence of ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’, who already moved to the Supreme Court. Let us do the stance of the Supreme Court as a constitutional institution, not as a constitutional institution, not another legal or constitutional legal. There is no purity. ”
Sajjad loan challenge to CM Omar Abdullah
He challenged CM Omar Abdullah to clarify his reluctance in passing a resolution for the state status in the assembly, which is a constitutional body elected by the Election Commission of India.

He insisted, “Our proposals are not binding on the Supreme Court, but they will have a constitutional dignity. It will be a constitutional message for the country’s Supreme Court. There is no legal or constitutional sanctity of political or signature campaigns. Anywhere in India or the world, tell an incident where the signature campaigns have changed the legal interpretation. They are not acceptable.”
Accused of contempt and contempt of assembly

Do you just be the Chief Minister to enjoy power and do not accept the responsibilities that come with him?”
Close childish and immature attitude –jad loan
He added, “I request you, please stop this childish and immature attitude. We will support any campaign unconditionally. But please ensure that a resolution is passed from the Union Territory Assembly and sent to the Supreme Court. We are fighting for a lifetime. Signature campaign is only drama Conduct. Supreme Court conducts law. ”
Loan, urging the Chief Minister to work according to his ‘age and stature’ and stop drama, said, “Pass a resolution in the state assembly. This is the most respectable way to go to the Supreme Court. Do not create an atmosphere of state not to give state status.
