SamsungRe release Announced a partnership with corning incorporated through which upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 EDGE smartphone will get the latest corning gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection in the smartphone. The company has stated that the new glass ceramic provides advance protection in a new, thin device form factor. This glass technology has been prepared with Samsung’s proprietary processing and reinforcement technology.
Samsung reported that Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 has complex embedded crystals within its glass matrix, which increase the durability of the display cover and the crack deflection capabilities. The coordination between glass and crystal components has been engineered to provide better strength by maintaining high optical transparency.
Samsung confirmed on Thursday that the Galaxy S25 Edge would be launched on 13 May. This ultra-slim smartphone will be exposed in the virtual Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on this day. In a recent leak it was told that Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge’s 256GB and 512GB storage variants can be priced at EUR 1,249 (about Rs 1,19,000) and EUR 1,369 (about Rs 1,30,000) respectively. It can be introduced in titanium jetblack, titanium IC and titanium silver color.
So far, Samsung has not shared much about the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. It is believed that it will work on Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy Chipset, similar to Galaxy S25, which would have been paired with 12GB RAM. It can get a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, which will have a refresh rate of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels and 120Hz. This will probably come with Android 15-based One UI 7.
