The news of investment in Samsung’s Sriperumbudur plant was confirmed by Tamil Nadu Industry Minister Dr. TRB Raja on social media. He said that with this new investment, there will be a number of new jobs in the number of 100 in the manufacturing unit. Sriperumbudur plant has manufacture of many electronic products like refrigerator, washing machine, television. In 2022-23, US $ 12 billion goods were sold from here.
The highest number of factory in Tamil Nadu in the country
Tamil Nadu has been successful in attracting an investment of Rs 10.14 lakh crore during May 2021 and March 2025. As a result, 32 lakh jobs have been created in sectors such as automobile, semi-conductors and technical textiles. So far, there are 31,517 manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu, which is the highest in India. Maharashtra ranks second with the number of 20,739 factories.
