Indian tennis player Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. After marriage, both became parents of a son Izhaan. However, the couple got divorced in 2024. Sania Mirza conceived her son Izhaan naturally. But now, two years after the divorce, she has revealed that she had frozen her eggs for the second child.
Sania Mirza, while talking to Farah Khan on her podcast, revealed about freezing her eggs. She said- I wanted to freeze my eggs and I contacted you and you introduced me to your doctor Firozha Parikh.
‘I had my eggs frozen’
Sania Mirza further explained the importance of freezing eggs and said- ‘I recommend it to everyone because the biological clock is running. Let’s say you want another child or something. I gave birth to Izhaan naturally and after that I got my eggs frozen.
Sania Mirza shared her breastfeeding experience
Earlier, Sania Mirza had shared her breastfeeding experience in the show Masoom Meenawala. The tennis player had described this as the most difficult period of pregnancy. Sania had said- ‘I think I will get pregnant three more times, but I don’t know whether I will be able to do the work of breastfeeding again or not. For me, it was not only physically but also emotionally and mentally tiring.
‘It was very difficult because after pregnancy…’
Sania Mirza had further said – ‘It was very difficult for me emotionally because after pregnancy you are already struggling with many things and hormones, and due to being in the public eye, people are shaming you for your body. It was very difficult for me to know that this little human was dependent only on me for food, because I thought what would happen if I was not there?
