Sanjay nirupam controversial statement: Sanjay Nirupam, the leader of Shiv Sena Eknath Shind faction, has given a controversial statement about the Muslims opposing the Waqf Bill. Referring to Shaheen Bagh, he said that if he opposed it, Jallianwala will become a garden.
Sanjay Nirupam said, “Those who oppose this law (Waqf Bill), try to create Shaheen Bagh, do not forget that they will ever become Jallianwala Bagh. So be careful and respect the law that has been made, we will arrange for you to do not have injustice to you.”
Earlier, Sanjay Nirupam had said that Shiv Sena UBT MPs strongly opposed the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in both houses of Parliament. Nirupam claimed that Uddhav Thackeray called his MPs and directed to cast their votes against this bill. Due to Muslim vote and economic pressure, MPs had to go against their will and vote.
What was the Jallianwala Bagh massacre?
Let me tell you that the Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in the country on April 13, 1919, in which the barbaric British fired bullets on thousands of unarmed people in Jallianwala Bagh near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, on the order of Brigadier General Reginald Edward Dyer.
Shaheen Bagh’s Protest became a topic of discussion in the country abroad
Sanjay Nirupam also mentioned Shaheen Bagh. In fact, during the CAA-NRC, a big movement was organized by the Muslim community in Shaheen Bagh, Delhi. It was discussed not only in the country but abroad. When Sanjay Nirupam was asked that the Waqf Bill was opposed like Shaheen Bagh, he said that if Shaheen Bagh is there, then Jallianwala Bagh will also be done.
