The 2025 season review meeting of Rajasthan Royals was held in June. The franchise has not yet given any definite answer to Sanju Samson. The option to convince Sanju is still open. Manoj Badale, owner of the franchise, will take the final decision on this matter with Head Coach Rahul Dravid.
According to ‘ESPNCricinfo’, if the franchise decides to release Samson, he can be traded to another franchise, or can enter the Sanju auction. According to the IPL contract, the final decision in such cases is of the franchise.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson made an IPL debut in the year 2013. He played for Rajasthan till 2015, after which Delhi joined him.
After spending two seasons with Delhi, Sanju returned to Rajasthan Royals once again in the year 2018 and since then he played for this franchise.
Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals played 14 matches in IPL-2025, in which only four won. The team suffered defeat in 10 matches. With just eight points, the Rajasthan Royals team finished ninth in the points table.
