Diljit dosanjh faces backlash over sardaar ji 3 casting: Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh is facing a lot of opposition to working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardar Ji 3’. Diljit Dosanjh’s much awaited Punjabi film ‘Sardar Ji 3’ has been released. The trailer of the film was released on 22 June, in which the presence of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir gave rise to controversy. The opposition of actor-singer started on social media due to casting a Pakistani artist in the film.
Diljit’s viral video and answer to trollers

After this video of Diljit went viral on social media, singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya retaliated on “Somebody’s father’s Hindustan a little”. He coupled his clip with Diljit’s clip on Instagram account, in which he is seen saying, “Hindustan belongs to our father … Hindustan belongs to our father’s father’s ancestors.” The post ended with a picture of Bhattacharya carrying the tricolor in hand, in which “Sare Jahan Se Achcha” was playing in the background. The singer wrote in the caption of the post, “Hindustan belongs to our father ….”
Imtiaz Ali supported Diljit
Amidst this entire controversy, famous filmmaker Imtiaz Ali supported the ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ actor. He had said, “I cannot say a lot on this dispute, but I know Diljit and can say that the spirit of patriotism is completely full. He is a son of Mati. You will see in every concert of him that he comes on stage with the Indian flag. No one tells him to do so, but he does it himself.”
He said that Diljit does not do artificial things. He does nothing with ‘fakeness’. At the end of each of his shows, he says that ‘I am Punjab’ and it says with the Indian flag.
Imtiaz Ali clarified that it is not just the actor’s decision to cast an artist in the film. He said, “I don’t know how casting happened, but I know that there is a lot of love for the country inside Diljit. Those who will be able to see the truth inside them will also be able to understand them.”
