Saumya Tandon had really slapped Akshay Khanna in ‘Dhurandhar’, the actress herself revealed, said- ‘Aditya had slapped the scene…’

‘Dhurandhar’ has become popular across the country since its release in theaters on 5th December. Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna have played lead roles in this exciting spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar. Television star Saumya Tandon played the role of Akshay Khanna’s wife in the film. He has received a lot of appreciation for a powerful emotional scene in the film, which surprised even the audience. In fact, in a very heart-hitting scene, Saumya’s character slaps her husband after a big personal loss. This scene has touched the hearts of the audience. Saumya later revealed that the slap shown on screen was completely real and was filmed in a single take.

On Sunday, Saumya shared some pictures during the shooting on her ACT (earlier Twitter) handle and told about her emotional experience. In the first picture, she is seen discussing the scene with director Aditya Dhar and Akshay Khanna.

Along with this, she wrote, “This was my entry scene in the film, and the love it has received has made me truly giddy. In this scene, I felt everything at once – anger for my husband, because he was the cause of our son’s death, helplessness and despair, and the deep pain between us, and yes, I actually slapped Akshay once, during his close-up shot, because Aditya had insisted that this scene should look real. “I was hoping to cheat, but that didn’t happen, my breakdown close-up shot was shot in one take.

In the second picture, Soumya is seen sitting on the floor during a prayer meeting. Describing the emotional weight of that moment, he wrote, “It was a prayer meeting after the death of my son. The pain of that moment remained with me, it came straight from the heart.”

‘Dhurandhar’ is based on the story of Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan to become part of Rehman’s dacoit gang. Apart from Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi are also in important roles in the cast of the film. The second part of ‘Dhurandhar’ is going to be released in theaters on March 19, 2026.
